”…wake up! ”

”Hmm.. ”

”…wake… ”

” Hmm? ”

”WAKE UP! ”

The faint whisper turned into a loud yell of a twelve year old, which woke the twenty year old Evelina up with a cry, ”AHHH! ”

Panting for breath and sitting face to face with the young girl whose body she saw herself in moments ago was about to send her back into a deep sleep.

”Miss! Don give up on me again! ”

The young girl exclaimed, pinching Evelina awake.

”Ow-ow! Yeah I am awake! ”

Evelina grunted as she rubbed the area where she was pinched.

She then slowly started to notice her surroundings.

The zesty scent of fresh lemons were mixed with the scent of wet grass. A vast field of moonflowers and the brilliant blue sky above gave the perfect feel of what she would call,

”Bliss. ”

They spoke simultaneously.

Evelina looked at the little girl in reflex. The girl faintly smiled back at her. Though it was evident that she didn know how to smile genuinely, rather she was taught how to do it.

Evelina suddenly realised she was back into her formal form. Her sturdy built body and the height she was always proud of was back!

”Finally. ”

Eve gave a sigh of relief.

She could clearly feel the stamina in her which was completely missing in the body of the little girl she was in.

”Its not what you are thinking, Miss. ”

The little girl spoke, ”What you are seeing yourself in is the form your soul remembers you as. ”

”How do you- wait! First of all, who are you? ”

Eve spoke, flabbergasted.

”Ah! Pardon me for my rudeness, ” The little girl spoke as she got up on her feet and bowed with courtesy, ”Avalina Riverton, daughter of the Duke of Riverton, greets you, Young Miss. ”

”Evelina Rogers, daughter of- hold on! Avalina Riverton! ”

Eve cried in another bout of shock.

Avalina tilted her head a little and asked,

”Pardon? ”

”The Avalina Riverton? ”

Eve asked with her eyes wide open.

”The Villainess of the novel ”Elisse ”? ”

It was too late when she realised what slipped through her mouth.

Avalina went pale. She then let out a sarcastic chuckle and spoke,

”So that was my fate,huh? ”

The way she acted now made Evelina realise what she just said.Calling a young girl who was hardly into her teens a Villainess right on her face.

”You idiot! ”

Eve mumbled under her breath.

Ava let out a faint smile,

”No, no, you are right. I am a Villainess. ”

Eve looked at the young girl pitifully.

Ofcourse, no one believed her to be the Villainess.

The Villainess had her eyes on the throne while Avalina gave up on what was rightfully hers for the sake of her sister.

”No one ever thought that you could be one. ”

Eve mumbled.

”Doesn matter. In the end, I was the only rotten fruit. ”

Ava spoke bitterly.

”No! ” Eve spoke up, ”You can not be the Villainess! ”

Avalina looked at Eve surprised.

”You are the most loving, sacrificing and kind sister Elisse could ever have! ” Eve burst out, ”You never had any greed or political aims and were always there for your sister. ”

”You seriously believe I don have any greed? ”

Ava scoffed, ”Everyone is greedy, and so am I. ”

Eve looked at her confused.

”I was greedy enough to fall in love. ” Ava continued in a pensive tone, ”That love was what drove me to my death. ”

Evelinas eyes dilated as she recalled the last moments of her life and felt her heart crumble from within.

”Enough of that, ” Ava spoke, breaking Evelinas chain of thoughts, ”We don have much time in our hands. ”

Evelina blinked out the tears which were about to flow and asked, ”What do you mean? ”

”Well, they may try to kill you again if I delay this further. ”

Ava sighed.

”What do you mean by again? ”

Eve asked.

Avalina sighed faintly and spoke, ”Why do you think you got into my body in the first place? ”

Eve was lost in thought.

Why was she here? Why is she talking with a fictional character? Is she in a coma or is she dead as well?

Was the original character supposed to die this young?

If not what happened and what is happening right now?

” We are both dead. ” Ava spoke up, answering Eves thoughts, ”Thats why you transmigrated. ”

”Wait, transmigrated? How do you know what a transmigration is? ” Eve asked, surprised.

”I have read about it. ”

Ava answered, nonchalantly.

”Thats why I left the talisman of soul-portation. It was for such emergencies. ”

Eve blinked at the little girl in disbelief.

”How old are you again? ”

”Twelve. ”

The girl answered promptly,

”Why? ”

”Because I wasn half as mature as you when I was 18. ”

Eve thought to herself,

”Nothing. Just like that. ”

Truthfully, if Evelina was in her shoes,she would have shrugged off transmigration as a fantastical term and wouldn have ever thought of preparing something beforehand for such fantastical-emergencies.

”Your world is different. ” Ava spoke in a pensive mode.

”I don think your body would make it. ”

Eve was too stunned to react. So she was as good as dead after all.

”Now what? ”

Eve mumbled.

”You should really speak up miss, I feel mumbling is an old habit- ”

”I said, now what? ” Eve interrupted Ava as she spoke, ”Do you wish to return to your body? ”

A silence followed this.

Eve feared death. She feared not being able to live and die just like that. She was afraid Ava would want her body back, she would want her life back, thus leaving her with no choice but to end hers.

”Now, you need to know my world. ”

Ava replied calmly.

Eve felt like she was the real kid amongst them. She felt embarrassed as tears rolled down her cheeks in relief.

She felt that it was selfish of her for snatching away the body of a little girl.

”As soon as you leave this place, ” Ava started, gazing at the vast sky above, ”You are free to live your life just as you wish it to be. ”

Eve choked on her tears as she paid attention to every word Ava spoke.

”You will be getting back all my memories intact once you leave but before that, promise me one thing. ”

Ava spun around and faced Eve.

”Anything. ”

Eve replied.

”Don pity me. ”

Ava smiled.

Evelinas vision started clouding. She shifted here and there but to no avail. Her body won budge. She tried to push harder, when suddenly she felt the final push create a spring-like motion to bring her body back to reality.

A new reality she was gifted by a young little girl.

Having woken up with a jerk-like motion, she seemed to have woken up the person who slept by her feet.

Stirring awake a kid , no more than 12. Jet black hair and Azure eyes with a wheatish complexion. He wore a white suite, with a golden crest seated on his left collar bone. His cufflinks were made up of Azure gems while his tie adorned a red gem, thus being a mismatch overall.

”You are up, My Lady. ”

The young boy spoke with courtesy.

”Pardon my intrusion, My Lady. If you insist, I will take my leave. ”

”Stay. ”

Eve spoke up, abruptly.

The Chandelier wasn lit properly, thus she couldn say what expression the young boy carried as he slowly sat back down on his seat. All she could say was that the air around him was grim.

”What brings you here, Your Highness. ”

Eve spoke courteously.

It didn take more than a second to recall who sat in front of her. The Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Solbrillar, the Main Lead of the novel ”Elisse ”,

Azure Contreas.

A man known for his cold glares and strict principles.

He was loyal to his young wife for a long while, but never felt any affection for her. Thus, when he left for the academy, he broke it off with her. But it wasn done officially until he brought in Elisse.

He didn cheat, but yet , Eve felt like he did.

Because, as far as she could recall, the Young Avalina was head over heels for the young prince. He just never noticed.

”Father asked me to assist you, My Lady. ”

Azure spoke in an informative note. No emotions were conveyed through his words. It was as though he was made out of stone-cold marble.

”I am grateful, Your Highness. ”

Eve calmly spoke.

Her head felt heavy with the amount of things happening. Her soul as well felt unsteady while the last piece of Avas consciousness had just faded.

No matter how calm she tried to be, she could hardly stay steady for any longer.

”I had a request, Your Highness. ”

Eve asked, with a slight tremor in her voice,

”I wish to return to the Riverton Estate. ”

The Young Prince flinched on hearing the request.
