The Devoted Second Male Lead Decided to Favor Someone Else Chapter 13.2

Lu Shijin gave a false smile.
“I didn’t think that Mr.
Huo would be so experienced in catching plushies at this age.
It would seem that you practice often, perhaps to make girls happy?”

Huo Lian calmly replied, “A three-year-old can play this, how is it difficult?”

Very well, I’ll give him full marks for his bragging.

Lu Shijin pointed at the throwing basketball machine.
“That can be the next?”

“Mr.
Lu! Wait!” Tim suddenly poked his head out from behind the pile of plushies and wailed, “What about these things?”

Lu Shijin said matter of factly.
“You’re holding onto them.
They’re all my spoils of war, I’m taking them back.”

Tim’s face was ashen.
Wasn’t he here to play with Lu Shijin? So why did his job get stolen and why did he turn into a valet being only in charge of carrying stuff?

The machine would be activated for a minute, but each ball that gets in the hoop rewards an additional 5 seconds.

So if their scoring percentage was high, two tokens could be used for a long time.

It was all up to the pair, who were focused on the baskets, one in front of each, continuously repeating the process of taking the ball and shooting.

Their accuracy was scarily high.
The number on the scoreboard kept jumping up and the time remaining was always above 30 seconds.

After three minutes, their score was 108:110, having scored 54 and 55 balls respectively, and the time was 33 seconds for one, 35 for the other.

Two handsome guys shooting was already a beautiful scene, and it was even more so when their techniques were so high.

Gradually, the other people at the arcade were drawn over, watching the two battle.
Every time a ball was scored, they would cheer and clap.

Much of the arcade was focused on Lu Shijin and Huo Lian.

The competition only ended after five minutes.
Lu Shijin scored five more shots than Huo Lian, so he won the second round.

After repeating the motion of picking up a ball and shooting for over a hundred times, their arms were very sore, but both still pretended to be fine.

“Admit it, I win this round.” Lu Shijin clapped his hands and smiled brightly.

“Best out of three?” Huo Lian asked.

Lu Shijin nodded.
“Sure.”

“Since we’re competing, it’s not very interesting if we don’t bet anything.”

Lu Shijin asked, “What do you want to bet?”

Huo Lian calmly looked at him.
“If I win, you need to help me do something.
If you win, you can ask me for anything.”

Lu Shijin smiled.
“That sounds very exciting.”

“Do you dare?”

“You don’t have to taunt me.” Lu Shijin rolled his wrist.
“I’m just afraid that you won’t be able to accept what I tell you to do.”

Huo Lian lifted an eyebrow.
“You can say it if you don’t mind.”

Lu Shijin slowly approached Huo Lian, only stopping a step away from his embrace.

Huo Lian didn’t back up from his approach, which made Lu Shijin smile with satisfaction.

Lu Shijin slightly raised his head and breathed beside Huo Lian’s ear, speaking in a voice that only they could hear.

“I want Mr.
Huo to be my boyfriend.
Would you agree to this?”

Huo Lian tilted his torso back, pulling away from Lu Shijin, frowning as though he didn’t expect Lu Shijin to make such a suggestion.

“I know you’re probably wondering why.” Lu Shijin slowly said, “Didn’t you want to cooperate to screw Huo Qi over? I’ll do it, but I’m afraid that you’ll be like Huo Qi, throwing me away as soon as you’re done, like I’m some cheap rap.
I need a way to tie us on the same boat, right?”

Huo Lian said, “This isn’t the only way to tie us to the same boat.”

“Of course I know that, but I want to see what dating Mr.
Huo is like.” Lu Shijin smiled wickedly.
“To see if everyone in the Huo family has no heart.
Say, if Huo Qi knew that I’m with his biological uncle, would he pay attention to me?”

Huo Lian’s gaze settled down.
“So you want to use me to get revenge on Huo Qi.”

Lu Shijin smiled.
“Aren’t you doing the same?”

Huo Lian fell silent.
It’s not that he hadn’t thought of using emotions to control this substitute, but when said substitute brought it up himself, he felt like it wasn’t that simple.

“What’s wrong? Does Mr.
Huo not dare? Where’s your attitude from when you said I could ask for anything?” Lu Shijin backed up two steps, crossing his arms.
“Or is Mr.
Huo afraid, thinking that you’ll definitely lose?”

Huo Lian smiled, his gaze becoming dangerous.
This little substitute is really arrogant, but he chose the wrong opponent.

“Very well, but I hope you’re prepared to accept your loss.”

Lu Shijin sneered, “Then I’ll play with you until you don’t even realize how you lost today.”

711’s voice suddenly came out, “Good words, it’s a fair contest, so I’m not helping you cheat!”

Lu Shijin’s plan was just ruined by 711.
“??? My assistant, when’d you become this stingy? Don’t you know that you won’t have friends if you act like that.”

711: Hah, my_eyes_see_through_everything.jpg

Without 711’s help, Lu Shijin had to depend on his own abilities if he wanted to win against Huo Lian.

For the last round, Lu Shijin chose a shooting game.
Whoever killed the most people after a round would be the winner.

They stood in front of the screen and each grabbed a gun.

There were ten seconds left before the start of the game.
Lu Shijin propped the gun on his shoulder and looked at Huo Lian, “Are you ready?* You still have 10 seconds left to pray.”
