Legend of Paskha

9. Golden General, Lord Gale

The house attendant expected the boy to grumble or tremble in fear and run away without any intention of coming back.

But who is Paskha? Even though his physical body was only that of a seven-year-old child, he had memories of his previous adulthood. Receiving this unwelcome and condescending tone from this head housekeeper didn affect him at all.

He knew what Sir Cloves mansion was like and even if he tried to sneak in, between the two sides of this door was an invisible layer of soul pressure.

Without the approval of the head housekeeper or Sir Clove himself, this pressure would strike anyone who passed it without permission.

Even if he managed to enter unharmed as the head guard of the house had allowed him, sooner or later, Paskha would have been hurt the longer he was in the place.

The only way was to get Sir Clove to make him a direct disciple and get this house to acknowledge him. Only then could he get in and out of this otherworldly house safely.

”Okay. I understand. ”

The old attendant was dumbfounded to get this little boys unexpected reaction. He got more confused when Paskha turned and walked towards the gate and stopped there.

Will he really be waiting outside? Isn he scared of the beasts roaming around at night?

In the end, the older man followed suit and stood next to Paskha. Soon the sun will set, and although this country is a safe country without criminals, it does not mean that this country is safe from attacks by soul beasts or evil spirits who decide to seek prey in this place.

Both of them would only come out of their hiding places at night. Therefore, it was advised for low-level core masters and ordinary humans to stay at home once it was dark.

If they still insist on going out at night for some urgent issues, at least they have to go in groups.

Only high-level cultivators dared to go out at night alone, and a group of soldiers would patrol the whole night just as a precaution.

Even though Paskha was a mere little boy whose background was unknown, the old attendant was still worried about the safety of this child.

”Thank you for accompanying me here, Sir Asher. ”

Asher glanced at Paskha in amazement. Did he ever mention his name?

No. He was absolutely sure he had not introduced himself to this boy. Then… how did this kid know his name?

”Don get it wrong. Im just making sure theres no blood in front of my masters house. ”

”I know. But still, I need to thank you. ”

Hm… his way of speaking was exceptionally polite and respectful. Even before this kid added sir in front of his name, it was the first time anyone had called him respectfully.

Like it or not… Asher found himself adoring the boy.

”Whats your name? Why do you want to find my master? ”

”My name is Paskha. And Sir Clove is a teacher at my school. ”

”I see. Even though you are my masters student, I still cannot let you enter my masters house. ”

”I know. Ill wait here. Don worry, sir. I won make things difficult for you on purpose. ”

Asher sighed resignedly to hear it. It wasn like he liked to be a hateful person in this little boys eyes. Even though he wanted to give Paskha permission to go inside, he still couldn do it.

Sir Cloves place was no ordinary residence like that of other humans. This house was built using thousands of years old celestial plant materials.

It had celestial skill and formed a defensive attack as a defense. Only the house owner who has made a lifetime contract with the plant could permit anyone to get in this place.

If a stranger accidentally sets foot in the house, an unusual gravity pressure would press him down to make him feel like hes been hit by a thousand tons of iron, or a terrifying illusion fills his mind that disturbs his mind.

Either way, the defenses of this millennial spirit plant house could injure cultivators inner strength and kill an ordinary human in an instant.

There weren many worked as servants in this place on that account. There were only five people, including Asher.

Asher was the head keeper and in charge of receiving guests and the other four. One was the cooker, and then the gardener, considering that Sir Clove fancied any kind of plants.

And the remaining two were the maids who cleaned the house.

Thus, Asher could not grant permission haphazardly even though he had the authority to give permission to guests to enter inside.

Asher only opened the gate and let guests enter the front yard until they arrived at the house door. After that, it was up to his master.

”I don know when my master will return. How about I take you home? Can you leave a message for me, and Ill pass it on? ”

”Thank you for the offer. But Id like to convey to Sir Clove the results of my emergence ceremony. ”

”Is it today? Are your results satisfactory? ”

”En. Pretty much. ”

Paskhas confident answer intrigued Asher. ”What is the result? ”

”Its a secret, ” Paskha answered bluntly without thinking. ”I want Sir Clove to find out first. ”

”What about your parents? Don you want to tell them first? ”

”… ” for a while, Paskha did not answer him, making Asher feel he had spoken wrong. ”My parents… passed when I was a baby. ”

Asher sighed heavily for the umpteenth time. He was only dealing with a small child, but strangely… why did he feel like he was talking to someone essential to this country?

Asher didn know how to lighten the suddenly gloomy mood. He even felt a black aura enveloping this boy, which made him wonder which energy source grade this boy had to such a degree causing him to break out in a cold sweat.

Fortunately, Paskha soon recovered from his gloom and smiled brightly at the older man standing next to him. In an instant, Asher no longer felt the black aura, and he no longer felt intimidated.

”I don quite remember what my parents were like, so… please don pity me. ”

Thats right. Paskha didn need those sympathies. Even though he had no parents, he could still be a respected hero and an excellent service to the nations.
