Episode 1: Dangerous uninvited guests in the Magician's Tower

“How does it feel to be trapped in the tower today?”

I ignored the voice beside me and fixed my gaze out the window.
The sharp protruding black iron bars were dark and dreary as usual.

I was worried that even a ghost would pop out.
It showed that he had no intention of allowing outsiders to enter, nor did he want it.

'This is why it is said that only eccentric and strange wizards like in the Magician's Tower.'

Isn't this a bit of a generalization?

It's a prejudice that all the wizards in the Tower are eccentric, dirty-tempered and weird!

I shook my head, dragging my tongue inwardly.

The biggest irony was that I, too, was trapped in this dreary tower.

No, not exactly….

“Are you listening to me, Eunice? If you don't answer me this time, I will cry.”

The irony was that this man was the master of the gloomy and terrifying tower.

I reluctantly turned over my head, and through my round glasses, a cynical face was looking at me with eyes filled with water.

“A crying man is unattractive.”

“I told you that it wouldn't be nice to be handsome, disciple.”

….I have nothing to say when he said that.

When I closed my mouth, he smiled lightly with watery eyes.

'….Ha.
I'm going crazy.'

If he was smiling with an expression that was about to fall into tears, he should look weird.
But even he looked so pretty because his face was handsome.

“Have you seen a guy crying as pretty as me? Eunice?”

This man was Theodore, the owner of this great pagoda and my teacher.
His nickname was 'Teddy,' a name that seemed to be a good fit.

Theodore couldn't stand the stillness of the tower today and had been squirming by my side since morning.

“I'm confident that even if I've seen another man's face, I won't be able to find one.”

“Nope.
I think I'll be seeing one in no time….”

I shook my head and denied it.
Theodore's words and ego sparkled and shone.

“What, Eunice? You want to be harnessed all day today?”

“…..No.
You're handsome.”

Even today, as I bowed down to power, I held back tears and spat these words that were not from my heart.

Theodore smiled softly.

“But you know that was a really brazen statement, Theodore?”

How come he says he's handsome without blinking an eye?

'I'm even angrier that I can't refute that it's not.'

“What, no! So did you.
If it wasn't for my eccentric personality, I would be popular with women.”

“That's when I didn't know what kind of person Theodore was.”

I shook my head in disbelief at the thought of it again.
The man I thought was a wonderful warrior who save me…….

“Yes? So let's get it right today, shall we?”

“……If you're still going to exploit my magic today, I'll run away right now.”

“Hey, you can't.
I scouted you!”

“Look at this, now you come and show your true colors!”

…I didn't expect him to be an evil demon lord who targeted my magic!

My promise to live peacefully was actually a bait for an evil owner looking for prey.

Theodore shrugged his shoulder casually, then suddenly hardened his expression and shoved his face in front of me.
The corner of his eye, which normally curves playfully, stood sharp, giving him an unmatched cynicism.

But I'm curious.”

“….?”

“You're hoping for the outside world.”

“…..”

“Why don't you get out of the tower?”

Theodore asked, getting serious for the first time after a long time.
I shut up for a moment.

Why?

Because…..

'If I get out of here, I might die at the hands of the mad dog sub-male lead.&#3
