From MURDER to LOVE

CHAPTER 3

”Alright everyone, lets head on to the reason we are all here today ” the receptionist said and ushered us to the first floor.

We were just fifteen of the new employees in this company. We all assembled together and exchanged pleasantries.

I made like four new friends which were in the same department as mine. Then the others were just casualties.

The CEO walked in through the elevator and greeted all of us with a real stern face. Sometimes I wonder if he knows what smiling looks likes, he should try that on his face and he will look perfect, not as grumpy as he does now.

”Wow, he looks more handsome than the first time I met him ” Chloe, one of the new friends I made today said.

”Of course, ” Tangy squealed, ”thank God, he employed me, now I have the opportunity to seduce him all I want, so he can be all mine ” she said.

I rolled my eyes.

”Yea, keep on daydreaming, this guy is every girls dream man, so its going to be a miracle to get him to even look at you ” Krystal said, making a face at her.

”You girls are so funny ” Lorenzo, the only guy in our new group said, ”fighting over a guy that doesn even know you ” he scoffed.

I haven said a word since, but Lorenzo was 100% right.

”The tour will proceed now ” the CEO said after making a few announcements that I wasn privileged to hear because of the gossips around me.

What was his name again? I didn even get that.

I mentally groaned.

”My assistant, Raymond, will lead the way ”.

We all followed Raymond as he led us on to the next building.

The tour went on till midafternoon, I learnt that the CEO is to be addressed by Mr. James.

We were all dismissed, and we all exchanged our byes and see you soon.

Then I got into the car and drove off to my house.

I started reminiscing on todays tour, the company is really large, every department has its own floor, the CEOs building is separated, and there are also workers in the CEO building. No one is allowed to go there unless you have an appointment with the CEO himself. I was privileged to be there ones, but that I think that would be my first and last time.

We are to start work on Monday, which means, I have just three days to get ready for work. Im going shopping tomorrow then, so I can get new clothes and other accessories.

I drove besides the woods, the trees stood tall that no one can see the contents of the tick forest, I wasn drawn to it until now, it felt like I saw something, something very illusional. And I heard a loud tree falling sound.

Thats where curiosity got the best of me and I pulled off beside the road.

I unlocked my seat belt and got out of the car, my inner man telling me to mind my business and go home, but I knew I had to know what was going on there.

I walked into the woods and at ones I felt like everywhere had gone quiet, I turned to my right and kept on looking for what I don know exactly.

After the vision yesterday, I learnt that Im not just a werewolf but a royal blood too. Which means I am likely to be an alpha or a Luna. I am meant to be the queen of the werewolves.

There was a crack and a snarl following, I turned to the direction of the sounds and thats when I heard it.

A loud growl in the far end of my front, then I raced towards the direction.

I was running so fast like I knew what was happening and I could do something about it. There was a feeling urging me to go on. I felt like it was curiosity, but I knew it was something more.

And when I got there, I suddenly knew the reason I was so drawn to that place.

It was a small village, small wooden houses and wooden structures surrounding the environment.

But there was a scene before me.

A fighting scene, two large wolves were angrily thrusting their claws at each other, tearing and biting with all their might.

And I just stood there, watching the scene unfold.

My breadth hitched and the first thing I felt was fear. I gasped immediately as one of the wolves was tossed away by the other.

I think my gasp was loud enough to grab the other wolfs attention to me.

I sprawled backwards as he approached me.

Then he shifted to a beardy human and I gasped again.

I already knew they were real but its so trilling to see it for real.

”Well, well, well, what do we have here ” the beardy guy(werewolf) said ”something we don see every day, huh? ” he smirked and picked me up in one hand, grabbing me by the collar.

Ive never felt so small in my entire life.

”Are you seeing this Alexander? ” he spoke, this time smiling widely, ”No hunting for today, the food came on its accord ”

Okay, maybe I didn hear them clearly, what did he just say, Food

Ha!!!.

Fear gripped me ones again.

Don they have a very sensitive smelling ability? Can they smell that I am also a werewolf?

”Don be too quick to judge, Mason, shes obviously from the human world ” the other guy named alexander replied. He had shifted too.

”Form the human of course she is, but what is her business here? ” he grinned ”huh? ”

”Besides, how did she get here? ”

He asked once more and glares at me.

I gulped.

”Lets take her to the palace first ” Alex said ”they would decide on what to be done with her ”

”Yea, they
e going to do the same thing anyway ” mason groaned ”lets just eat her here ” he suggested impatiently.

”And what about her family? they will look for her and find out that she has been eaten by creatures, mason, that is so not a good idea, I suggest we take her to the palace ”

”Talking about her family, they can never find out if she was eaten, unless she left a trait ” mason scowled at me again.

”Thats your job to find that out, Ill take her to the palace ”

”All these stress over something we can just deal with ” he rolled his eyes and left to check for a trait, dumping me on the dust.

”Now lets see what we have here ” Alex said and walked towards me. He lifted me up in one go and scanned my face with his blue piercing eyes. I shuddered.

”hmmmm, how did you find out about us? ”

Is that rhetorical? Or am I to answer that?

”Im guessing you can talk, and human language isn strange to you ” he raised his eyebrow ”Unless you are not a human ”

”Uh… I … uh … ” I stammered.

”You what?

”I was driving when I heard a sound ” I gulped.

”Thats all? Heard a sound? You were driving in the woods? ” he started walking towards the village.

”No… ”

”shh… no more talking ” he ordered and walked in to the village.

But something was strange about the village, only that it wasn a village but a portal with silver sparkle.

He walked into the portal and a whole new world appeared before me.

My eyes widened in shock.

The world was so big and different, it had strange aura. More a magical spell hovering around the atmosphere.

One moment we were in the woods and suddenly we are in a very different place.

It was more like a city, a very strange city, different from the normal ones. The people looked like humans but there was something different about them, like they had special abilities, each one of them.

I was awed by the discovery of this unique place. This must be the supernatural world.

”Where are we? ” I asked, I didn know where I got the nerves to do that.

”The place your mama warns you never to joke with ” Alex replied me and chuckled.

”you don need to know cupcake, soon enough you will be dead, so whats the big deal? ” he laughed and continued leading me to a building made of diamond crystals.

”Its beautiful ”, I muttered.

”Its a shame, the last thing you will see ” his face suddenly lost all expression as he walked into the building. ”You know something, cupcake, I don like coming here, and you made me do this, so you are definitely going to pay for it ”. He gritted his teeth, ”Now shut up ”

I gulped once more.

He walked into a gigantic silver door that opened on its own.

”Good evening council, I thought you might like what I brought ” he shoved to their front. I stumbled.

”A human? ” a beardy old guy said. ”Where did you find it? ”

He looked like a thousand-year-old monster.

”We didn find it, she found us ”

”How is that possible? ” a. bald old guy asked

”She was stalking when I and my friend, Mason were in a fighting game. She claimed she heard sounds ”

”Heard sounds? All the way from the human world ”.

”Its hard to believe though ”

”The king is not here yet, so I suggest we keep her in the dungeon and wait for the king ”

”That is going to waste some precious time don you think? ” a middle aged man spoke.

”How do you mean? ” the beardy one asked.

”I believe she has a family and if by any chance she left a trait, it can lead them to the small village, and just like that, they will discover us ”

”So, what do you suggest ” the only female in their midst asked.

”I think we should release her and keep an eye on her ”

”she will expose us!! ” the bald one said.

”Not if we keep a close watch on her ” the middle aged guy sighed ”I know its not really the best idea but either we kill her or leave her in the dungeon, we will still be discovered very soon by the humans and then war will start, again ”

”If we leave her, we will be discovered sooner ” the woman said.

”But I think we better kill her in the human world, I mean, if we keep an eye on her and she exposes us, then we kill her and the person she told. Then we will make the scene look like an accident or of sort ” the beardy one spoke.

”I agree with that ” the middle aged said.

”That is the best idea ” the bald one said.

”Then it is decided ” the woman said, ”we keep a watch on her, then ”.

”Yes, Alexander, you will be the one to watch her, since you found her and brought her to us, there is no better person to do this Job but you ” the council decided.

”Alright, it is settled then, you can leave now ”

”Thank you council ”. Alex bowed and left, dragging me along.

We walked out of the building.

”You are one lucky bitch you know ”

He chuckled and led me through the portal to the human world.

Just as we walked out of the portal to the woods, we met up with mason.

”I found a car; Im guessing its hers ”

”Yes, it is, and the council decided to release her and keep an eye on her, if she messes up ” he cut his neck through with his thumb, demonstrating death.

”Thats a fair point, I say shes a lucky bitch ”

”I said that too ”. Alex said and we left.
