Chapter 138: Comes Just at the Right Time (2)

When the old butler heard the sound of a car pulling up outside the villa, he had thought Mu Tingfeng returned home early.
So, he hurriedly paused his work and went out to welcome him with a smiling face.

Ever since Zhao Youlin left the Mu family’s villa together with Joy, Mu Tingfeng had moved back to the villa, and Su Qing had stayed in just recently.
As such, they had given a touch of life to this empty house since Zhao Youlin and her son’s departure.

Even so, the old butler still missed the child with whom he grew up with.
Although he hardly saw the child nowadays, the older version of the child could at least provide him some sort of comfort.

The old butler put on a smile to welcome the person.
However, he cried out in shock when he saw the car outside the villa and the person who got out of it, “Why are you back?!”

A gorgeous woman got out of the car.
She wore an expensive black and white mini dress that looked to be made of slightly thin material.

She had draped a furry vest on her shoulders, which covered most of her already small face, leaving a pair of exceptionally beautiful, iconic and sparkling blue eyes.

The woman was Su Ruixin.
She was Mu Tingfeng’s biological mother, the madam of the Mu family.

“Mr.
Butler, it’s been a while.
How are you?” Su Ruixin smiled gently when she saw the old butler.

The old butler returned to his senses from the initial surprises.
An obvious hint of glee was shown on his face and said, “Madam, why didn’t you inform me that you’re coming back? I could have asked the young master to pick you up.
I’m still as fit as a fiddle.
Thank you for your concern.”

Su Ruixin slowly walked to the old butler and said with a smile, “My sister told me that Su Qing is pregnant.
Unfortunately, Yi and her in-laws are busy lately, so they don’t have time to take care of her.
As such, they sent her over to Mu Tingfeng.
Although Tingfeng practices vigilance in his work, he is a man, and men are not as sharp as women when it comes to attention to detail.
My sister is worried about Qing, yet she’s occupied with some business.
So, I came over to take a look first.
Initially, I didn’t want to make a big fuss about all this.

“Madam, what are you talking about? Although your sudden appearance caught us off guard, you certainly did not shock us, in fact, you came to us as a surprise! You’ve been staying overseas for a long time and it’s been a long while since your last trip back to your home country.
I believe the young master has been missing you very dearly.
He would be very delighted to see you back.” The old butler said to Su Ruixin while leading her inside the house gleefully.

Su Ruixin froze.
Then, she cast a glance at the night sky outside and asked, “Why hasn’t Mu Tingfeng came back at such a late hour?”

The old butler answered truthfully, “Indeed, Madam.
Most of the time, the young master comes home around ten o’clock at night.”

Su Ruixin frowned and said, “He hasn’t changed a bit.
He has no sense of timing when he’s at work.
He doesn’t know how to take care of himself.

I’ll be relieved if only the young master has someone who could take care of him attentively in the future.

Su Ruixin abruptly paused.
The old butler seemed to have realized something upon hearing this.

Right after the old butler spoke, a figure descended from the stairway.

The maids crept out when they saw this and unwittingly stretched out their hands for fear that Su Qing might fall down from the staircase.

Her expression darkened, and she shouted at her sternly, which was a rare sight.

Su Ruixin heaved a sigh of relief when Su Qing finally reached her safely.
She stretched out and pinched Su Qing’s cheek.
Then, she pretended to look mad and said, “I would not have been so mean to you if you knew how to behave yourself.
Qing, don’t blame me for making a fuss of all this, you’re no longer all alone now.
Even if you don’t think for yourself, you have to consider the baby inside your belly as well as the baby’s father.”

Su Qing’s face turned red when Su Ruixin mentioned Song Yi.
She nodded obediently.
Su Ruixin could not help but shake her head and sigh.

The lass no longer listened to her elders, instead, she only obeyed her husband’s words.

The Song family is in chaos lately.
Your mother is worried about you.
But, she’s tied up overseas.
So, she asked me to come over to look after you first.
By the way, didn’t you just call me the other day to talk about…”

“Ahem… Ahem…” Su Qing hurriedly fake coughed and interrupted Su Ruixin.
She winked at Su Ruixin multiple times without leaving the slightest bit of trace.

Su Ruixin froze.
She got the hints from Su Qing’s gaze and instantly understood.
Her eyes sparkled.
She turned around and said to the old butler, “Mr.
Butler, I just got off the plane and now, I feel a little cold.
Please get the kitchen helpers to prepare some ginger soup for me to drive away the cold.”

The old butler naturally understood that Su Ruixin had something to say to Su Qing in private.
He smiled in a friendly manner and said respectfully, “Sorry for the negligence, Madam.
I’ll get them to prepare a bowl of ginger soup for you now.
