Choose Your World: My Teammates are NPCs

Some say that traveling is very hard, others say it is very easy. You can decide these two things yourself, you have to do it so you can know if its very hard or very easy.

In the past, before I became a professional player, many people laughed at me because I had a bad shot and aim. But look at me now, they don laugh at me anymore because Ive shown I can be a pro with bad aim. Those who laughed at me are now my fans.

Therefore, right now, whatever Im going to do on this trip, I can decide whether it will be very hard or very easy. I haven run that, just registered myself as an adventurer, so I haven started anything yet. Covering my ears, not listening to what other people have to say, making the best choices for my life, is a provisions for me in the future. Anyway, this is my first time playing a VRMMORPG game.

I registered myself as an adventurer in the Adventurers Guild. There were three choices to define my characters role but I chose to be an adventurer. Also, two choices of that characters role; being a merchant, and being an alchemist/blacksmith, weren a great choice for me. Thus I chose to be an adventurer.

Ive filled out the registration form at the Adventurers Guild, filled in my name, Anton Pasaribu, and a few others—and currently, Im being summoned by an NPC to get a certificate as an adventurer.

She told me to look in the mirror in front of me now, and I saw a handsome man staring at me. The man who looking at me, who has slightly messy black hair, a slightly lethargic face but hes excited, has a scar near his right eye, and the coolest thing here, its me.

All the data that I gave to this game when I created an account on this game site, has been synced to my character, so my character is 100% like me. Also, since it uses a notch number, I can rename my character to the nickname I usually use: Blackwood. The character I use is me, 100% me with my real name. If someone knows this character, then it knows me in real life.

”We have identified your entire body. Please use this as your identity. ”

She gave me an ID that looked like a voucher. Paper as identification is not made of paper but iron. What was there was my name, my job as an Assassin and adventurer, and my branch as an Iron-class adventurer.

”If you have a good reputation and routinely carry out quests, your class can go up. Try to always be kind to people, you will get good results later. Also, they will always ask you for help, so you have to pay attention to your every move. Don let them be disappointed or angry, they won give you quests. They can give you quests. ”

She was saying nonsense I could accidentally hear.

Quests can be obtained in various ways. As she said, an NPC could also give a quest. It can give you a quest if you don upset. But if you let an NPC down and your relationship with him is bad, he won ask you—hell ask other adventurers instead of you. An NPC is very influential in this world for you to get quests; the rewards they give mean a lot to you.

Thats what I got from that bullshit. One way to get such a quest was to get it directly from one of the NPCs. Most importantly, as an adventurer, you still have a way to obtain a quest than from Adventurers Guild. Either way, as an adventurer, quests are very important to you because youve already started your journey.

”Remember one thing, and the very thing you are not allowed to go to if you do not have our permission, you are not to enter the Modern world. We forbid you to go there. Because if you stay there without our permission, and you are killed in there, you can never come back—which means, you die. ”

That seems to be a ban and a warning for those players who choose the Fantasy world. In this game, we are not allowed to enter the Modern world without their permission. If we die there, well never respawn—simply put, we
e dead and can play this game anymore with our character/account. Thats a very important warning, also a very vague one because theres no information about why we shouldn go there.

These NPCs seem to be very important here. Even if she was an NPC, she provided information and forbade us to go into the Modern world. I think, there, in the Modern world, there are also NPCs like this. There must be NPCs that forbid players from going to the Fantasy world. Yeah, I think it must be there too.

”Okay… ”

I care about the rules. If I hadn gotten permission to go there, I wouldn have done that. Even if I am sometimes toxic to the players, I choose to be a man who obeys the rules.

As long as there are rules, then I have limits.

”So, esteemed Adventurer, would you like to take quest? ”

Thats a good question, one that I don think needs to be asked again. I came here to take a quest but she asked that instead. Well, thats probably because she can read my mind. But still…

I left the place with her. It was the room to take the certificate as an adventurer and look at yourself in the mirrory.

I didn read the terms and conditions of this game, but Im sure they take care of my data and privacy. If they ever leaked that, they would go to jail and the game would be over. So, the game is safe to play for now.

The first quest I took on the big board was only to help farmers grow rice. The quest place in question is in that village, Tjee village. The village was quite far from the city, so I had to pass through two villages first to get there. And… Ive been there while teasing some NPCs.

I took this quest to apologize to the eleven NPCs I misled. I want to have a good relationship with them, especially with that bald farmer. I want to apologize to him for hitting his head with a stick. I wanted to apologize to him there, not for hitting his head for the second time.

As is the case in this game, if you have a good relationship with them, you will get a quest from them. If that applies there, then I can get another quest without needing to go back and forth from the city to the village. After all, I have limited stamina and don have the transportation to travel frequently.

I am an adventurer who wants to try to do good things to the NPCs I bullied before. At least, apologizing is the best thing I can do there.
