Barbaric Ways

I wake up in my private room the overseers gave me for my straight week of victories against the chumps theyve been sending to fight me. After getting up I start to head for the chow line for breakfast until Im stopped by a strange man in a dark cloak hiding in the shadows, he motions for me to follow and faintly whispers ”follow me barbarian I wish to gift you a boon for the coming adventures you and the amazon will have very soon ” I nod my agreement to follow him into the room hes standing near after which he locks the door and asks ”this may be a stupid question but do you know how to read,write,and count ” I answer yes so he answers ” good so this will be easy now please don struggle or you could destroy your mind ”. After he finishes speaking he places his hands in my temples after which I grunt in pain as his hands started to burn as they pushed some sort of energy into my brain which knocked me out cold.

As me and Althea get ready I grab a two-handed Claymore of decent quality along with a steel helmet I also grab a hard leather breastplate and a belt loaded with throwing daggers while Althea picks a hardened steel boar-spear with a few sets of bolas with an open-faced helmet. After tooling up we head to the gates we share our first kiss and enter the arena.

As we enter the arena the announcer does his thing and says NOW ENTERING OUR CURRENT REIGNING NEWCOMER JEAGER THE BARBARIAN AND RIONNA THE AMAZON AND NOW ENTERING FROM THE OTHER SIDE BLACKHORN THE MINOTAUR AND BLOODSCALE THE LAMIA.By the Gods I wanna kill that guy Althea ”me too Jeager me too ” as we start moving forward I the Minotaur roars and charges towards us I say Althea you take the cow Ill take down the garter snake ”got it Jeager ” . Althea throws a set of bolas at the Minotaurs feet knocking him straight to the ground as she stabs him in the ribs with her spear twice before he jumps back up and starts to circle around her. The lamia however approaches much more methodically than the Minotaur so as not to get wounded as easily as he did . The lamia I feel I should mention looked from the waste up like a beautiful woman with long red wavy hair, green eyes,pale skin, and breasts about the size of watermelons and from the waist down she had the body of a snake with red and black scales on top with white scales on her underbelly with a body length of about ten feet. As I close in she whips her tail at me at waist level just slowly enough for me to dive over but as I dive she wraps her arms around me which are way stronger than Id thought and whispers ”please just give up just surrender I just want to live and I don want to hurt you ” my response is to say just follow my lead the Minotaur is dead already he just doesn know it yet , I have a plan so we both can survive just roll with the punch like you are knocked out. She nods yes so I free one of my arms and throw a punch to the side of her her ”knocking her out cold ” and throw one of my daggers right between the Minotaurs eyes killing him instantly, as we finish the governor asks if I have any rewards I wish and my answer is that I want the lamia as a reward and he shrugs ok take it barbarian its only a beast anyway.
