5 Minutes Later

I slowly come to as I feel the burning and darkness leave my head. As my vision come to I quickly look around trying to find Tate but he is no where to be found.

” Fucker ” I spewed spitefully.

I look up as I feel a pair of arms around me as I am being lifted up. A pair of blue eye look at me with such concern.. behind the concern I see the pain he is trying so desperately to hide from me. He knows what just happened but he also knows this is not what I wanted there is nothing I can do. I feel such gut wrenching pain as all of my hidden emotions boil up in my chest. Due to the freshness of the mate bond I am left defenseless against these unwanted emotions. Carrying me down the river deeper into the forest so I can have privacy. He sits down and just holds me as I unleash the torrent of emotion I have been holding on to for four years.

”Evelyn ” he spoke softly

Startled I look up at Jace.. ”No ” I sternly said

” I can .. I don want this…. Why now? ” I sobbed

” I know baby I know ” he says soothingly as a he hugs me and lightly kisses the top of my head.

” I… I just decided to move on… ” he closes his eyes at the break at the end of my voice with this declaration.

Taking a deep sigh before starting. ”Evie you don have to accept him right away or at all if you don want to. You have to take everything into consideration and have a discussion with him first. Weren you the one earlier talking to me about finding my mate eventually? ” He spoke calmly. I can hear the unspoken tone at the end of his words. He is afraid of losing me and that breaks my heart all over again.

”This changes nothing Jace nothing. ” I spoke while wiping my eyes to look at him. He looks away before answering. ” It changes everything.. ”

” No.. ” I growled out.

”He doesn not get to spew pretty words take my virginity and then leave in the middle of the night without saying a word. He also doesn get to come back and claim what he left behind in the first place ” the venom in my word spewing out before I realize what I said. The roar that came rumbling out of Jaces chest caused me to look up eyes wide in horror when I did realize what happened. Standing up Jaces sets me down and starts walking back to the falls. Smelling Tate on the air I knew instantly where Jace was going. Scrambling up I run as fast as I can to the clearing and search for Jace.

Spotting him I seeing him heading over to his truck were Tate is talking to Reese against the truck. Trying to catch up, right before I get there I watch Jace grab Tate by the arm as he punches him hard in the face.

”JACE!!! JACE PLEASE STOP ” I screamed running towards them.

His eye were black and feral and I tried to get to them to separate him from Tate. Reese grabs me before I can reach them. As the others try to help separate them Reese spins me around. ” What the Fuck is going on Ev? ” He spoke in a demanding tone. ”Please stop them I said something in anger that I never should have.. ” I sobbed collapsing to the ground from the emotion and the exhaustion creeping back in. Claire and Audrey walked over to console me as Reese went to help sperate the two men.

Feeling the shift in the air I spun in their arms to look at the two as I watched them shift into their wolves. Jace with his large gold wolf looked almost feral and Tate with his larger obsidian wolf. I couldn help but stare as I see the under lying scars shimmer under his fur and the gash over his left eye. He looked like he has been through hell and back. He must have seen me out of the corner of his eye but when Jace saw my expression as I saw Tates wolf and it seemed to infuriate him more. Saliva dripping off his muzzle and snarls as he crouches down the attack.

Suddenly the power of Alpha Creed flows throughout the clearing silencing us all…
