Alpha Tate

Groaning as I wake a few hour later. I can feel Jace has left the bed. Getting up I walked into the bathroom and take a shower so I can get ready. We have to leave here by 8 as to not be late. Standing under the stream and the water runs down my face I feel Jaces warm body wrap around me as I lean into him.

As he runs conditioner through my hair I groan.

”Hey Jace what happens when you meet your mate? ” I asked

”What do you mean? ” He responded nonchalantly as I turn to look at him.

”You know what I mean… your not going to turn down a chance with your mate for me right? ” I said.. Groaning he looks up at the sun-window on my ceiling.

”I don know Ev. I don know what Ill do.. you know Ive always been in love with you. ” He said seriously

”Jace I get what your saying but this is the one your fated with. You can just walk away, you may not get a second chance. ” I scolded

Grumbling ”Can we worry about thing when it comes up.. you haven meet yours yet either so we are okay for now. ”

” I guess… ”

After showering, getting dressed we hopped into Jaces truck so we can grab Reese and Claire on the way to the Festival of the Moors.

When we get there its a little past 8:30 and the festivities are in full swing! Grabbing Jaces hand we walk through the grounds to meet up with our friends at the falls.

”EVIE!!! CLAIRE!!! ” Kate and Audrey screech as they stand ready to jump the falls.

Jace walks over to lean against the Boulder as I sit between his legs waiting for the girls to come over.

”Hey babes long time no see ” said Kate.

Rolling my eyes ”We are literally neighbors you dork. ”

”So lol… ” watching her jump up on the boulder next to us she plops down and turns to me ” So.. did I see a certain someone getting mauled outside their house by a Beta pup… ” her eyes lit up mischievously.

Jace stiffened at the comment and glared over at her.

Leaning into him I chuckled ”Be nice Kate don rile Jace up. It takes me forever to calm him down after. ” I can literally feel the eye roll Jace is giving through the back of my head as I laugh.

Wrapping his arm around my waist I lean back laughing because I know he is pouting at my comment.

Suddenly, I stiffen as a familiar presence enters the falls and my eye lock with a pair of cold green eyes and I see a flash of fury in them before it is suddenly gone. They are not just any eyes but HIS eyes…

”Tate… ” I whisper

All of the sudden the back of my neck burns and I collapse to my knees as a sharp pain goes from my neck to my head. This cant be happening right now… Not with…. Him.

Right as this thought goes through my head I hear one word in my head.

” Mine ”

Then my world goes black..
