”Evelyn… EVELYN!! ” Yelled Jace.

Startled I turned to my window as I roll it down not even realizing I had been spacing out in my driveway. I hadn even heard him pull up.

”Sorry Jace, I didn even hear you pull up. When did you get here? ” The nonchalantness is my voice not convincing anyone.

”About 5 minutes ago, I thought you were on the phone so I decided to wait before walking up. ”

”When I realized you didn really move, I walked up to check on you ” he said with deep concern lacing his beautiful blue eyes.

Reaching out I rub my fingers across the light stubble across his strong jawline. He truly was beautiful at 62 ” with beautiful cerulean blue eyes and blond hair. Jace was Reeses twin and we grew up together. Growing up it was always the four of us: Reese, Jace and I…. And Tate.

”Im sorry I didn mean to worry you. ” I spoke after rolling up my window and stepping out of my Jeep. I slowly reach up on my tip toes and kissed him softly. He didn respond at first as a kissed him again. Eventually I felt him relax against me as he wraps his thick muscular arms around my waist and kissing me back. Leaning back against my jeep as I pull him into me I hummed against his lips as I slightly deepen the kiss.

Chuckling as he pulls back ”Come on crazy pant before we start giving the whole neighborhood a private show ”

”I don mind ” I smirk slyly as he slowly pulls away from me and takes a few steps back to give us some space.

Rolling his eyes ”Of course you don but as the Betas son I can be rolling around in the hay with a pack doc out in the open. ”

”Wuss ” I chuckled. He cocked a eyebrow at this and I laughed and walked up to my front door. Opening it and walking inside leaving him by the jeep glaring at my backside.

”COME ON before I lock you out! ” I bellowed from the living room.

He sauntered in looking smug. I rolled my eyes and grabbed him and I a beer from the fridge before tossing it to him and settling down on the couch I cross my legs and wait for him to speak. I take a sip as I watch him sit on the other end putting space between us.. He has such a serious look on his face. Setting my drink down as he obviously was to deep in thought to speak I look up at him and spoke.

”So whats up I thought you weren coming over until 8 so we could go to the festivities together ” I asked casually.

He looked deep in thought for a moment as he collected his thoughts. He then looked a little uncomfortable at the directions his thoughts were going which made me really curious as he is never like that with me.

”Jace whats wrong? ” Cautiously.

He breathed out deeply before he spoke. ”Are you going to be okay tonight? ”

Shocked because I didn know what to say to this for a moment. I leaned back and looked at him in the eye.

”What do you mean by that? ” I said slowly watching his feature to see if I can read where he is going with this.

”Tate ” he spoke so softly that I wouldn have heard him if I wasn a werewolf.

My eyes widen a little as he knew how much I hated that topic. When him and I decided to try things between we came to a unspoken agreement that Tate would stay out of our relationship. For him to bring it up now…
