Alone On Earth, I Became OP

”Wait, System! When will all the animals mutate?! ” Chen Fan screamed to the void, but no one answered. The System is now completely silent.

He tried to ask the question over and over, but to no avail.

”Tch, couldn stay for a few seconds longer ” Chen Fan spat out.

In fact, he was upset that the system went to a dormant state for a year.

All human beings are social animals, no matter how introvert they can be. Since all the humans have left Earth, the system was Chen Fans talking buddy, and it gave him comfort.

But for the next year, the system will be asleep, which means he is alone.

He sighed, although he knew that he was completely alone he did not lose his spirit.

The most important thing for him is to prepare for the eventual mutation of the surrounding animals, and also the threat of the ancient trolls that are living beneath him dormant.

Although the system did not specify the exact time that the animals shall mutate, it did warn him to pay attention for the year which means that within the year he is alone it shall happen.

The system also bluntly told him not to rely on weapons such as guns and rocket launchers, otherwise he won gain any skills from killing the beasts.

Relying on his own strength? Although he gained strength from the skill the system gave him, he wasn confident that it wasn enough to kill a mutated animal!

Chen Fan doesn know how strong the animals shall become when they are mutated, so for now his goal is to figure out a way to gain strength fast.

Well, since the animals haven mutated yet, I should first wipe out all the beasts that are near me to at least have a safe haven for a while!

The system did not say that he had to wait for the beasts to mutate, as long as he didn rely on modern weaponry anything goes!

Thinking of this, Chen Fan dropped the book from his hand and stood up and went outside.

His first goal was to collect some equipment.

He was a very cautious individual, and so his best bet was to become a hunter who shoots with a bow and arrow until he has the strength needed to face a beast head on.

The system had evaluated his IQ to be low, but he isn that stupid.

He just has poor learning ability, which is now no longer the case with the Eye of the Scholar.

The equipment he needed was simple, bows and arrows and an axe. Since he can use modern weapons, his safe bet is to use a bow and arrow for long range combat and an axe if things get too up close.

He ventured out, luckily the beasts from the zoo hadn reached the store that had all the equipment he needed, and so he grabbed a few bows, a few axes, and every arrow the store had in its stocks.

As he came home, he began training his shooting in a small empty room he created to practice.

For the rest of the day, he read books for ten hours, slept for six hours and trained another six hours with his weaponry. The other two were just for rest.

Days went by, and the same routine continued, and a week passed by, and time went faster and faster as his cycle continued.

His obsession to survive and get stronger pushed him hard, and the loneliness that he felt was replaced by the drive to complete his daily tasks.

Thirty days later.

SHOOOM!

Inside the training room, a steel arrow cut through the air, and it hit the bullseye accurately.

Ten shots, nine hit the bullseye and one hit the inner circle. He felt disappointed that he didn get all the shots to the bullseye, but he knew he had to practice more and more.

The target he was using was just a dummy he created with materials from his house, and so it was stationery and didn move. But he now felt comfortable in going out to hunt the beasts.

He was pretty sure the animals haven mutated yet, but he didn underestimate them still. Using his compound bow to hunt the animals from a distance is the best choice and although he could fight animals with his axe, he knew that if a pack of wolves or lions came then his situation would be deadly.

Chen Fan began preparing his gear, placing his axe on his left hip and his arrows on his right hip, the bow neatly wrapped around him.

He was ready, but he didn rush to the streets looking to hunt them just yet. Making him the target of every animal wasn his goal, so he began patrolling the alleyways and the darkness, waiting for an opportunity to strike the animals he sees.

Let the beast show himself, then the hunter.

Chen Fan with a small pouch with him took it out and released a few frozen pork to the ground. He then lit a firewood and roasted the pork in the alleyway, and quickly left the area and found a small spot to hide.

He had thought that this was the best way to attract the most beasts and begin clearing out the animals.

For those hungry beasts that have went on without eating delicious meat for a while, roasted pork was the most delicious choice of food they could ever want.

Chen Fan knelt down and took out his bow and arrow and began aiming at the area that he roasted the pork, awaiting the first animal to walk by.

After several minutes, a leopard was spotted.

Seeing the roasted pork, the leopard rushed over frantically. But before the leopard could even have a taste a pack of wolves suddenly sprang out.

The leopard raised its tail, while staring at the wolves asserting its dominance.

A mere solo leopard didn scare the wolves however, and they continued walking towards the roasted pork.

Seeing that the warning failed, the leopard began getting frightened. Its legs trembled and stared at the greedy wolves who were approaching the leopard.

Slowly, the leopard began retreating backwards.

ROAR!

The wolves, who were just a step away from the food then suddenly jumped in fright, and a mighty male lion with five lions appeared from the other side.

”The hunting now begins… ”
